Rubbernecker Design Team Sunday- Amazing Background Stamps!

img_2085Hello!  Happy Sunday!! 🙂 Today I have a wonderful autumn card to share with you, made with only background stamps and a lovely sentiment from Rubbernecker.  The sentiment is “Just Because”, I love the simple typeset font and the inspiring words. The main panel of kraft card stock is stamped with Les Miserables #673 a lovely script background.

fullsizerender11I stamped another piece of kraft card stock with the Cheesecloth Background #437. I used the Vertical Stripe Background #686 on my orange card stock. For the yellow card stock I used Watercolor Stripes #690, first stamped in one direction, then turned and stamped again across the first set of stripes to create a fabulous plaid look!! Yup, you can do that!! (the Vertical Stripe background makes an awesome gingham looking background when used this way! Just saying…)  The watercolor stripes are so soft and light, they create the perfect subtle background for anything, as stripes or plaid! I cut each stamped background with a really fun leaf die set from Lawn Fawn called stitched leaves, inked the edges, and added them with a metal button and some twine to my card.

Background stamps are often overlooked, but they so versatile and fun! You can use any card stock to create your own background papers, and just by changing your ink and paper colors you can create a completely different tone and mood for your project. They are wonderful for everyday cards, altered art, or scrapbooking, the options are endless!! These are just a few of the great backgrounds that Rubbernecker offers too!! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by today, there are more wonderful cards to inspire you on the Rubbernecker Inspiration Blog today, check it out HERE! 🙂 Hope your day is fabulous!! 🙂
