Rubbernecker Design Team Sunday- Seaside Inspiration

Hello! Welcome to another Sweet Sunday Rubbernecker Design Team post!  Today I am sharing a card that I created using a brand new clear set from Rubbernecker Stamps, Beach Master #3012. This set is designed for you to create a beautiful beach scene. Again, as with my last post, I am experimenting with watercolors and ink. So much FUN!! This was so easy, and actually really quick to do. I did a quick, an honestly kind of sloppy, color wash with a sky blue color on the top portion of my card front. Lifting the wet color off the paper with a paper towel for my clouds- which was actually an experiment of sorts… I was not as happy the the out come and ended up working the clouds more with a wet brush. Then after it dried I added more color to the edges of my clouds to define them better, not too sure I like them or not, as i said all an experiment! I let my “sky dry and then added another simple color wash to the bottom part of my paper with a tan color. When it was really dry I added the stamped fence, and stamped grasses. I created the depth in my sand with the stamp set as well, there are three different types and sizes of “sand” in this set! I used two different shades of brown to create the look of my sand dunes. I went back and added the water with a simple color wash in a brighter blue. When that was dry I added just a touch of white pain pen to give my water some movement. I finished this off with a sentiment from Best Friends Etc. #3032 Love how this one turned out!

Thanks again for stopping by! I hope that you will hop over to the Rubbernecker Inspiration Blog to see what the other girls have created for you this week! 🙂 Please join in our Bi-weekly challenge as well, you could win a great gift card to the rubbernecker store!! 🙂
