Rubbernecker Thursday-Fishing 2
Good Morning, today I have another Rubbernecker card to share with you. I used the new clear set, Fishing 2 #3004 on this card. It’s a great set with four fishing themed sentiments, three different hooks and this really fun fishing vest. I also used the matching die set as well Fishing 2 #3004D. I used inks and a water brush to color my images-so fun and I love the look, really enjoying this technique! The background paper I made with the new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide inks, I am having so much fun playing with these new inks!! So easy to create really awesome backgrounds, or to use with a water brush and color, or just straight on your stamp. This card makes me think of my Grandpa, he loved fishing, and I loved to spend time with him along the river fishing. It didn’t matter what I caught, he always made a big deal about it. I once caught a huge sucker fish, I was so excited because it was such a big fish, but my cousin was telling me it was a garbage fish and making fun of my excitement. Grandpa told me that it was a great fish and that the neighbors cat was really going to love eating it! He was always smoking a pipe, or whistling, and he could squat on the bank of the river longer than anyone I have even known! I miss you Grandpa!
