Hello! So glad you could stop by and see my latest Rubbernecker Design Team card! I have been missing in action for a bit, I broke my hand earlier in the summer, and it is just getting better now. I am able to make a card without taking all day, ha ha!
Summer is my favorite time to lay out and star gaze- the trampoline is the best for this!! Today’s card was inspired by the lovely, magical, summer nights sky, and features one of my favorite sets, Watercolor Forest #972.
This is a two part stamp set, wonderful for so many things!
I love that the one stamp gives you those softer colored trees, creating distance, while the other stamp makes a more solid up close looking tree.
I used distress inks and a water brush to give the trees a ‘real’ watercolor look, but these stamps work wonderfully with the Ken Oliver Color Burst watercolors, or even your traditional watercolors. The trick is to get lots of pigment on the stamp! A Misti also helps so you can add more in just the right spot if needed!
The background was created with Distress Oxide inks- LOVE them!! Can’t wait to get the next set of colors!!! 🙂 I added some beautiful Sparkle Silk from Fun Stampers Journey, to add some shimmery “stars” to my night sky. The sentiment from Best Wishes Etc #3029, is elegant yet simple, and finishes this card off perfectly! 🙂
Thanks again for stopping by, would love it if you left me a comment and let me know what you think of this card!! 🙂 Pop over to the Rubbernecker Inspiration Blog and check out all the beautiful cards from the other design team members!! 🙂 Or join in on the latest Challenge, you could win some awesome stamp !! 🙂
