Rubbernecker Design Team Sunday- Remarkable…

Rubbernecker Design Team Sunday- Remarkable…

Welcome to another Rubbernecker Design Team Sunday, I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend! This weeks Rubbernecker card features one of my favorite background stamps Vertical Stripe #686 and a new to me stamp, Group of Cats #892-18.  I used inks to watercolor the cats, I intended the orange cat to be much brighter, and really stand out… but it just didn’t work out that way, so I glittered him! When at first you don’t succeed, glitter is always an option! 🙂 This sentiment is a great one, Truly Remarkable #648-06. I also used two sets of nested dies, Oval Small Stitch Die set #5014D and Rectangle Stitch Die Set #5007D. Love these dies!!

Thanks for stopping by this week, please take a moment to pop over to the Rubbernecker Inspiration Blog to see what all the other design team members created for you. While you are there check out the new challenge that started this Tuesday, you could join in the fun and have a chance to win some fabulous Rubbernecker products of your own!! 🙂

Rubbernecker Thursday- Flying Monkeys

Rubbernecker Thursday- Flying Monkeys

Hello, and welcome to another Rubbernecker Thursday! I just realized it was October. OCTOBER! This year has really just flown by very quickly! For today’s card I decided to embrace the lovely month of October with a Halloween themed card. I have always loved Halloween, as a kid it was so much fun to plan a costume (we always made ours, with little to no purchased items). Trick-or-treating with friends in the Victorian era neighborhood of my home town, on those crisp (cold) autumn nights.  Great memories, so much fun! Today’s card was really quick and easy to make. This card could easily be adapted for a Christmas card as well, just by changing up the colors and swapping the witch for Santa and his sleigh!

I made my background using Pan Pastels. I punched a circle in a piece of scrap paper and used the circle piece mask off my “moon”. I started with a deep blue color, then added the dark purple over the top, love the depth that the two colors added! I removed the circle mask, then used the negative space from the circle punch to mask off the rest of the “sky” and add color to my moon. I did spray this with a workable sealer, so my pastels would stay where I put them, also, so I didn’t continue to add purple fingerprints to everything! 🙂 I used Black Versa Fine ink and my Misti tool to add the Rubbernecker Witch #663-02 and Watercolor Forest #972 to my card front. The Misti tool is so great when you know you will need to add layers of ink to the same spot, love it! I added the sentiment Flying Monkeys #475-02 after I had sprinkled the whole card front with FSJ Sparkle Silk for some extra texture. After I added the sentiment I decided it needed just a little something… I ended up deciding on these purple sequins, I think they add the perfect finish to this fun Halloween card.

Hope that you enjoyed today’s card, thanks so much for stopping by! There is lots more inspiration on the Rubbernecker Inspiration Blog, I hope you will pop over and see what all the other design team members have created for you! 🙂 And don’t forget you can join in the fun with the new Challenge posted every other Tuesday! Rubbernecker Thursday- Birthday Tractor

Rubbernecker Thursday- Birthday Tractor

Hello, and welcome to another Rubbernecker Thursday! Today’s card features a fun and whimsical tractor that I colored with Copic markers. Tractor #729-03 is a great image and fun to color! I like he fact that I can easily use it for masculine cards, but the simple addition of a few flowers can transform my card to a “country girl” type of card!  I also used Cheesecloth Background #437, to add some texture to my Oatmeal card stock (FSJ). The sentiment is from the Rubbernecker clear set, Happy Birthday #3031, an awesome set with many different fonts and arrangements of the Happy Birthday sentiment!! I added a touch of Oatmeal Cookie Gingham Ribbon (FSJ) to finish my card. These (FSJ) flowers were on my desk for another project, but I decided they looked really nice with this funky tractor, so they ended up on the finished card!

Hope that you are having a fabulous day, appreciate you stopping by!! 🙂
