Rubbernecker Thursday- Hook Line and Sinker

Rubbernecker Thursday- Hook Line and Sinker

Good Morning!! Hope that you are having a lovely day today!! I am so glad you stopped by! 🙂 Today I have a fun Rubbernecker Stamp card to share with you, using two brand new sets that will be available to purchase very soon!! The first set is #3004 it’s a great set for masculine cards, or anyone in your life that loves to fish! This set includes a wonderful fishing vest image, three lures/hooks, and four fishing themed sentiments! But wait, there is more!! This new set has a die set to go with it!!! ( I am totally happy dancing !) I created the background paper by stamping the three hooks in versamark ink on my lovely  cool pool paper, then I clear embossing them for a little shine! I layered the background piece onto a piece of cranberry bliss, just slightly larger than the cool pool, and then added them to my oatmeal cookie base. I stamped the three hooks/ lures ( my grandpa was all about fishing all the time, I am sure he is looking down and frowning from Heaven because I do not know what to actually call these!:/) and colored them with copic markers, then die cut them. I added the sentiment to the oatmeal cookie strip, and arranged my lures/hooks around the words, adhering with foam tape. I ended up adding some shimmery clear wink of stella to each one, it was the perfect touch to finish this card off!

Again thanks for stopping by today!! Please take a moment to hop over to the Rubbernecker Inspiration Blog to see what the other designers have been up to you, there are some great cards to inspire you!! 🙂

Rubbernecker Design Team Sunday- Sunsets and Adventures…

“The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.”

I love this sentiment, and it is so true, it is not always the easy path but defiantly the most rewarding!! 🙂 Here we are at the beginning of another year, (give or take a month!) what goals or changes have you put into place to live the life you are dreaming of?? For me, I am defiantly planning on more adventures!!

Welcome to another Rubbernecker Design Team Sunday! Today I am sharing a card I made using this lovely sentiment Biggest Adventure #803-04, along with Watercolor Forest #972. I know I have mentioned before how much I LOVE these trees! I really do, I love them. They are so easy to use and create such a great look!! I inked my sunset with several different colors of ink, then after the fact I realized it would have been easier to use my pan pastels… either way, a great effect! Stamped my trees and sentiment in Versa Fine black ink, I love the truly deep dark, and crisp black of this ink. I used a deep purple mat behind my sunset image, and added it to the orange card front. It needed a little something though, the orange card stock just looked too flat, so I added  some Vertical Stripe #686 in tangerine tango ink half way up the panel. I played around with adding a ribbon, but in the end I really liked the simplicity of this card, so nixed the ribbon idea.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope you enjoyed this card! Rubbernecker Thursday! Coffee Stains…

Rubbernecker Thursday! Coffee Stains…

Good Morning! It’s time to share another Rubbernecker card, today’s theme is coffee!  I don’t actually drink coffee, but I love tea!  Most of my good friends are coffee drinkers, so my love of coffee equates to time spent with great people, laughing ,talking, sharing our lives. So even though I don’t drink the stuff I love coffee! 🙂Today’s card was made using a cute cup and sentiment from Coffee Time Set #458, this is such a fun set with 7 images and 8 sentiments! For the background paper I used Scuffs, Scraps, and Stains #461. This set is full of all kinds of little texture elements to create backgrounds, or add dimension and texture to your project, it also has 5 sentiments as well. I wanted to create the look of coffee cup ‘rings’ and coffee splatters, I think it worked out rather well!

Hope you enjoyed the card today, thanks for stopping by! Please take a moment to visit the NEW Rubbernecker website!! Also check out the Rubbernecker Inspiration Blog, you will find lots of fun cards made by the other design team members, as well as a new challenge every other Tuesday!!
