It’s Rubbernecker design team Sunday! Today I have a fun little coffee themed card to share with you, using a new stamp Perkatory #1053-10, so funny! This sentiment fit perfectly on my die cut coffee cup.
“Perkatory: The anguished, prolonged period spent waiting for a fresh pot of coffee to be ready…”
I also used Watercolor Stripes #690 in FSJ Cocoa Powder ink on Oatmeal card stock, as my background panel. I used my Misti tool to stamp these stripes horizontally rather than vertically.
Coffee Bean Background #201-01 was also stamped in Cocoa Powder ink, over a background I made using Distress Oxide inks. Up close you can really see the splotchy watercolor look. I framed it with Cocoa Powder and Cranberry card stocks. That touch of red added just the right pop of brightness. A bit of red ribbon and a brown button finish this card off.
So glad you stopped by today, hope your weekend is wonderful! Please take a few minutes to pop over to the Rubbernecker Inspiration Blog to see what the other design team members have created for you!

Welcome to another Rubbernecker Thursday! I have a lovely card to share with you today. I have been playing with all kinds of different elements lately, and having so much fun! I used my FSJ splash sprays like watercolors to create this soft background, and I really love how it turned out! I was also playing around with Journey Modeling Paste and my favorite stencil, Stained Glass, also from FSJ. I applied the modeling paste to a piece of clear card stock, then flipped it over and glued it clear card stock side up. This prevents any of the modeling paste from chipping off. I chose Butterfly 7 #947 for my focal image, this is a watercolor stamp set. It is a two part set, an outline stamp and a solid “filler” stamp that you can use to add color to the wings of the butterfly, with inks or watercolors . I used Distress Oxide inks that I blended together on the stamp with a sponge dauber. I spritzed the dry inks with water to get a slightly splotchy watercolor look. Then I added a bit of shimmer to the wings with a glitter brush. I die cut my butterfly using the matching die set for this stamp, Butterfly 7 die set #947D. The die was so easy to line up, and cut so crisply, love these dies! The sentiment I chose for this card is Gentle as a Butterfly #627-02. I stamped it onto an oval I cut using Nested Oval Small Stitch Die Set #5014D.
